Create a BACKUP copy of a current Discord Server

Hey Everyone! So this idea would allow you to take a COPY of your current server that you have and copy over to another Discord Server you have already done. This will allow you to make a easy backup of your current Discord. This should not move your members or copy your members over to that Discord. It will be a pure copy of permissions and channels. For Example. Server A has 178 Roles and 120 Channels with those 120 channels all of them have custom permissions. So you go into the server options as the Discord Server Owner and you can fully copy the server to a blank server that is created. It will help in case you need to use a backup or just have something to dev work on before pushing it to the main server. Thank you all for reading this suggestion!

    I guess that's a possibility, but sometimes people own multiple servers for different things, and have a certain way of setting stuff up etc, it just saves them alot of time.

    For now, or if Discord never adds this feature, you can use the bot Xenon to do that exact thing. I hope you can do what you wanted!

    I second this. Lets say an administrator wants to be donkeyhead, and remove and delete everyone.
    Then this would be great, to be able to revert back.

    Server-creation templates in general seem like a pretty good idea. Created by Discord, or even curated by them as other users could upload their server templates to an online store?

    I think this is a great idea, but that non-admins should also have this ability, especially if there's a power imbalance that wouldn't otherwise be correctable outside of a history log. Maybe have a toggle so that certain roles can only export things made/posted *after* they joined, but reserving history logs to owners (and admins) can skew narratives if a dispute is ever brought up.

    I'm aghast that this function is not available.  The bedrock of any IT system is BACKUPS BACKUPS BACKUP!!!  Not having this function makes you look like small league amateurs.  This thread is 4 years old and no real solution?!?!  The best I can find are workarounds and a single third party product. This is unacceptable.  Fix it!

    100% agree.. discord bots are on the rise and ive seen it plenty of times where a bot gains access to a server and wipes out the whole thing. This needs to be a thing!!

    Chaton, this sounds like a great idea, in fact, I need this just in case on of my own gets raided, haha. Just to be clear, this should only be possible for YOUR OWN servers, you should not be able to clone other people's servers.

    What truly makes a server is it’s members not its roles and channel permissions, so you may be able to copy some channels and roles but this is not the server itself at all. Obviously no content would be copied, and no members would be in the new server. It would effectively be a new server.

    This idea sounds great I would like it to happen. As I have very many clans which have failed and I hate making new servers everytime. Plus raids do not take effect so much!
