Nested Categories
Please add a function where you can add categories in categories so one could organize their server somewhat like so:

# chat two
↓ Gaming

I recently thought of an option for a very wide-purposed discord server, with a whole lot of channels. Since they are so hard to navigate without Nested Categories, one option would be to make a #contents channel right at the top of your server, where you can make a pretty markdown message with channel mentions so people can easily get to them. until nested categories are a thing, this is one solution (not a good one but it's better than nothing).

I'm surprised that this still isn't a thing. this has been a thing that people have wanted for a while and it doesn't seem like it would be a hard thing to implement.

Please, Discord! I've got over a hundred channels in an RP server. Can you just do this one thing for us? We're seriously considering just starting separate servers to handle it all!
And while you're at it, categories should be collapsed as the default condition O_O3 -
100% need this. We run a Destiny community server, and we have streamers who have their own personal spaces as categories. Having a streamer sub-category with all these categories under it would make it much easier for the community to navigate.

This would just be great to have. A friend works on WatchMojo's new official Discord server, and they plan on using it for means of communication among staff as well.
This would keep things tidy, not just for one server, but every server.

This needs to happen already. It would be insanely useful to everyone and should require very little effort to implement. It is the single largest complaint I have and hear about from others when it comes to discord's usefulness.

It will never happen... something so simple as this is open for more than 2 years and they didn't do it... well doesn't matter, there are other free products that have this already... it would be a shame that people move to other products just because of something they could pull off in a few days...

It feels like every day that quarantine continues, our servers grow, and as they grow, they become more and more unwieldy and unmanageable. And what am I supposed to do as an admin?
Am I to have endless channels for users to get lost in? Experience tells me that this actively drives people away if they are greeted by a hundred channels all at once. It is overwhelming. I can mitigate part of the problem through opt-in roles to access various areas of the server, color-coding sections of the server, etc, but it's only a stop-gap.
Should I instead have very few channels where the chat zooms past as hundreds of people try to talk at one time? This is overwhelming as well, and it tends to silence users who would have good contributions in smaller channels where they are not flooded out.The only reasonable answer is more channels, hidden neatly away in auto-collapsed and nested categories.
Please, Discord. Why are you like this?

We need this badly. It will making sorting out channel and server easier and everyone can minimize categories and channels they don't want to see.

If I don't use Xbox or Switch or at the present time I can minimize/mute the category and not be bother when im not interested in those topic/channels
Or for channel to break up into small channels inside a category. For my roleplaying server,
I have an information category with multiple channels but my introduction channel is about 10 posts long with around 1200-2000 chars each, It would be great to be able to break it into 10 channels instead of 10 posts and could be minimize into one category. (The reason i don't create another category is that It wouldn't be pretty for the server having tons of category as we already have at least 13 at the present time)

I also have a plethora of roleplay servers and am an admin on a large roleplay hub, nested categories would be AMAZING. A lot can be done with categories and channels, but when you have multiple stories going on one server having the ability to nest one layer deeper would mean a world of difference.

This would really facilitate my realm. Please make this a reality. I am currently expanding it into an html and mobile game format, but would love to have nesting capabilities, as discord is my prime.

Let’s just accept that Discord isn’t going to add this. This suggestion system sucks and Discord never even looks at these. This post has got so much support yet it’s been over 2 years and they still don’t want to add this.
