Spotify and Discord are two popular apps that allow users to stream music and communicate with others online, respectively. Both Remini apps are available on mobile devices, making it easy for users to listen to their favorite music and chat with friends on-the-go. By linking your Spotify and Discord accounts, you can share what you're listening to with friends on Discord and even listen to music together in a shared listening session. This feature is particularly useful for gamers who want to listen to music while playing with friends. With the convenience of mobile devices, users can enjoy these features from anywhere, anytime.

Currently, Discord has a built-in feature called "Rich Presence" that allows users to show their Spotify activity on their Discord profile. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, this feature is only available on the desktop version of Discord and not on the mobile versions.

To enable Spotify integration on Discord's desktop version, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Discord on your computer and navigate to "User Settings."
    2. Under the "Connections" tab, scroll down until you find the Spotify logo.
    3. Click on the Spotify logo and follow the prompts to authorize Discord to connect to your Spotify account.
    4. Once connected, your Discord profile will display your Spotify activity, including the song you're currently listening to.

Unfortunately, at the time of my knowledge cutoff, this feature is not available on Discord's mobile versions, including iOS. Discord regularly updates its application, so it's worth keeping an eye out for any future updates that might include this functionality for mobile devices.

In the meantime, you can manually share the music you're listening to by copying the Spotify link for the song or playlist and sharing it in a Discord chat or your status. This way, your friends can still see what you're listening to by clicking on the link and accessing the content on Spotify.

I understand that you would like to see a feature in the mobile versions of Discord and Spotify that allows Discord to display your Spotify activity. While I can't directly implement this feature, I can suggest a workaround that might help you achieve a similar result.

You can use a third-party bot called "Listen Along" in Discord to manually share your Spotify activity in a text channel. Here's how you can set it up:

    1. Ensure that you have the Discord and Spotify apps installed on your iOS device and that you are logged in to both accounts.

    2. Open Discord and navigate to the server where you want to use the bot.

    3. Add the "Listen Along" bot to your server. You can search for it using Discord's bot directory or by directly inviting it via its website.

    4. Once the bot is added, create a text channel specifically for sharing your Spotify activity. You can name it something like "Music Activity" or "Now Playing."

    5. Grant the necessary permissions to the "Listen Along" bot in the text channel so it can send messages.

    6. Open the Spotify app on your iOS device and start playing a song.

    7. In the Discord app, go to the text channel you created for sharing your music activity.

    8. Use the following command to link your Spotify account with the bot: !linkspotify. The bot will provide instructions on how to complete the linking process.

    9. Once your Spotify account is linked, the bot will automatically display the song you are currently playing in the text channel.

Remember that this workaround relies on a third-party bot, and its functionality may vary or change over time. Be sure to check the bot's documentation or server for any specific instructions or updates.

Additionally, keep an eye on official updates from Discord and Spotify, as they may introduce native features or improvements in the future that allow for seamless integration between the mobile versions of the apps.

I use exclusively the mobile versions of Discord and Spotify (iOS), and would love it if a feature was made that allowed Discord to show what I was listening to on Spotify.

Spotify and Discord both have dedicated mobile apps for mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets. You can download the Spotify app from your device's app store, and install the Discord app to enjoy music and connect with your Discord friends through your mobile device. Both these apps offer a good music and chat experience on mobile devices.
