Discord ate itself during an update.
Telling me it can't find an insertion point in my Appdata directory.
Trying to uninstall it didn't help.
How can I clean Discord off my machine and reinstall it clean?

Im having the same problem as well.
I was able to fix it by deleting the two discord folders in appdata under roaming and local and then reinstalling. Only once those two were gone was the installer able to work for what ever reason.

If you've removed this from Add/Remove Programs and it's still there:
Windows Key + I
Click on Apps
Find Discord in there as well. Uninstall it.
Then Windows Key + R
%appdata%
This takes you into C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming
Delete the Discord folder.
Then go into C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local
Delete the Discord folder THERE as well.
Reboot your machine.
Download and install Discord again.0 -
Hi, I can't regain access to discord either, I want to know for sure if this is going to mess with any of my saved data? In the past, I ran into the issue of so much as turning discord off deleting all my saved favorite gifs and I am worried that totally uninstall literally everything including the user data like this will erase my DMs data and server data. I REALLY do not want to lose my DMs or servers.
