Difficulty with new keyboard controls on chrome

I've been using keyboard controls on discord for quite some time to switch between channels. Particularly Alt+Ctrl+Up/Down are ones I use all the time. However, since the new keyboard update I've been having trouble using these commands on Chrome. I'm not always able to use the desktop app (on which it still works) so I'd like to be able to use those shortcuts again on Chrome.
