After Extending a folder the contents of the folder are still showing sometimes

So when i single click on a folder, it opens and drops down. However when i double click the expanded folder, it shows the folder's content display. I don't know whether this is a bug or a glitch or its a feature. Even if its a feature it doesnt work at times. The First image is the bug where the contents of the expanded folder are being displayed and second is how it normally should be.
