Message differentiation

it is too hard to see the delimitation between individual contiguous messages sent by someone.

there could be a huge time gap which holds some significance, or it could just read totally incomprehensibly.

For example, if the first message contains line breaks and the second one doesn't, then the second one looks like it melds together with the last paragraph of the first message.

horrible for UX

a simple horizontal rule as the minimum would fix this. or better message bordering. please take a holistic approach with UX design and testing.
