Reply in line option?

I like the reply option, but it still is easy for things to get pretty lost on an even somewhat active server. I was wondering if Discord could possibly implement something like Slack has for replies. It kind of eliminates some need to have channels and can clean up conversations that get carried away without excluding members of the server

    it looks like this, so the conversation just gets nested within the channel
