can't change my email address

Discord has a typo in my reported email address. I've been trying to correct the email address, but Discord won't allow it because it keeps saying I have the wrong password. How should I proceed? I'm not going to make another account, so I fix this one or forget it.

  Try asking the discord support staff via email
  And ask them if you could re assign that account(if you can rewrite that email with the typo) and set it to your account
  If they can't do anything with that to help then just tell them if they can delete that account then
  Mainly since that email doesn't exist
