Disable "typing" animations if Reduced Motion is enabled

Thank you for the Reduced Motion update! But please, can you remove the animation when "Someone is typing" (and if Reduced Motion is enabled)? Because it causes huge lags on my computer. Thanks again for the update.

    I'd like to second this, and for a much more urgent reason.

    I have a sensory disability which makes some of the animations that are part of Discord's interface very distracting and uncomfortable for me. In particular, those dots, both next to "So-and-so is typing" and the corresponding ones in the userlist.

    I use custom CSS code, via the BetterDiscord plug-in, to block animations in Discord, but after an update last year the dots were apparently no longer done by CSS, so now even that doesn't stop those. Without being able to turn off the dots, holding a conversation in Discord text chat is so stressful for me that I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

    It seems a big oversight that Reduced Motion mode doesn't include those.  I'd imagine it would be a small job, and it would improve the service a lot for me and I think a lot of your other customers.


    While I'm writing, I would like to let you know that I was delighted when the Reduced Motion feature was introduced! More and more Internet firms in recent years (and Discord used to be one of the worst offenders) had been ladling on more and more animated features with no option to turn them off, presumably not aware that this was any problem to anyone. It was making using the Internet at all feel increasingly like being beaten up. Thanks for noticing that this is a problem to some of your customers and trying to put it right.

    Now improve on it even more and stop those wretched dots. ;-)
