Inability to unmute microphone on HP chromebook
I downloaded the app for Discord for Chrome. I was unsuccessful with being able to unmute my microphone. Went through multiple steps with student familiar with Discord to no avail. The concept and anecdotal experiences appear awesome. However, I feel I'm missing something if this app wont work on my Chromebook. I'm an instructor and was hoping for different platform from Zoom to interface with my students during classes. I would appreciate any specific input that would address this issue to hopefully allow for use of this app on my HP Chromebook.

I have this problem too and no way to fix it. I think it might be an HP problem. My friend has a Lenovo and is able to talk in calls on his chrome book.

Same problem on an ASUS Chromebook

I am having the same problem on my Acer chrome book, everything else works except that. I believe i had muted it once and forgot to turn it on after i shut my computer down, and here we are.

i don't have the chrome book but i do have the same problem. I've tried everything from changing the chrome setting and re-giving permission to use the mic to changing up the settings on the discord browser itself it also won't let me download the app on my desktop i hope this will get fixed soon as t seems that many people have the same problem of not being able to unmute their mic :(
