Buttons (with same number) on different game controllers to be seen as actual different buttons.
Please add separation between buttons on different game controllers!
Currently if somebody has 2 or more game controllers and ads a button as a bind to a function in Discord pushing the same button number on second or other controller activates the same command.
Example:
If I bind button 1 on game controller 1 for activating the microphone, pressing the button 1 on game controller 2 activates the microphone too. Same for all controllers.
This is especially problematic if the game controllers are different in configuration/shape/purpose.
Example 2. Setting a Microphone mute on one controller on a switch with retention (that is a button that stays pushed when activated) will be overridden by pressing a push button (like a trigger) on a second controller that just happens to have the same number (IE GAMEPAD 7...etc) . That is the microphone will be activated accidentally and user cannot check it for sure by the position of the retention switch on first controller. User has to toggle the switch on and of on first controller to re-mute the microphone and avoid pressing the same numbered button on second controller. This behaviour problem of Discord is aggravated in VR where no overlay works.

This needs to be added ASAP. I have 6 controllers I use for my flight sim and can't set a PTT button that won't conflict with other controllers.

The ability to do this is years past due.

This is 100% an issue in 2023. Discord sees any button on any controller and uses that for the keybind, rather than the button that was originally pressed to activate the keybind. With things like flight simulators and sim racing, it's common for a single player to have multiple controllers connected and really messes things up!
