Emoji and Reaction Window Tab Select

A feature was recently removed that I used a lot when it came to emojis. I was able to press the emoji/reaction button, search for something, press tab, use arrow keys to select, and press enter to post. However, the functionality to press tab and arrows keys to select is now gone. The press enter to select is still there, but it is unable to select and only posts the first emote. Is there a reason why this feature was removed and will it return?
