Does discord allow the playing of audio through one headphone or is that third party software?

I staff for a pretty large server. We get member capped at 250k every few months. We run into a lot of weird situations and one thing I have been wondering is if Discord allows people to play audio through one side of the headphones with certain mics, or if that feature is disabled so that if someone does have a microphone that can do that, it will play normally through both headphones regardless of that.

The reason I'm asking is because I know that some third party software that Discord does not allow in Terms of Service allows users to do that, and we don't allow people to use that kind of stuff on our server. So knowing this information will really easily let me know who is using third party clients that aren't allowed in ToS or not.

If anyone has knowledge of this that has one of these fancy microphones or if Discord staff can tell me how this works that would be great.
