Remove the "Inbox" feature, or allow it to be suppressed

The red dot that appears on the top-right of Discord now, on its "inbox" button, is very annoying.

It is distracting and makes me frequently uncomfortable, triggering anxiety.

It is near enough to my laptop battery indicator (macOS) that I often get heart attacks wondering if my laptop is about to suddenly unexpectedly die on me. This is extremely unpleasant.
It is a distracting bright red dot that draws my attention from what I am doing momentarily, but I don't open it (I personally don't find the inbox useful), so ultimately it interrupts my flow for nothing.

I personally don't find the Inbox useful enough to outweigh the annoyance its constant, obnoxious presence causes me.

The notifications I care about all appear on my chats on the left, which is far less intrusive and alarming (a red dot on the top-right is almost always an "urgent" kind of message, in general).

I would like a way to

Disable the inbox
Disable the red dot that appears on the inbox
