Additional Thread Settings

Threads are a pretty useful feature for servers that have constantly active conversations and may not want to make more than one discussion channel for their members to more easily communicate. Currently, there are (hopefully) more features for threads in the works - however I'd like to share my concepts for threads.

This section in the server settings should be replaced with a lot of settings to customize thread use, and some information regarding them. Such as:

• Default max threads created per user
• Section with a list of all (active) threads in the server, in the order of their channels' (like in the server channel list)
• Thread creation cooldown, to further prevent spam

As for channels and categories, there could be the following options:

• Max threads created per user
• Separate section for thread-related permissions as well as the permission to send media and embed links
• Default slowmode for all threads in the channel

Threads are a useful feature but can be often abused. These recommended settings were made up to help prevent most misuse of threads. Another recommendation is to not allow public thread usage by default.
