Option to auto scroll to bottom of chat?

This is the most basic chat client feature. I don't want to read old messages, I want to read new conversations and not have to press escape every single time I switch back to discord. There have been numerous complaints about this. Why hasn't this been addressed?

  I agree. Discord dev team, where is the home button for text chat?
