The new mobile version isn't functional!
Sorry. There is no way you, the people behind Discord, are using it on Android and feel "this is a great product". Are we looking at the same product you and I? I mean, you have to see that this is more of an alpha version or a prototype. It simply doesn't work. It is no way near the excellence of the previous version. Personally I start to keep an eye open for alternatives.
I am sure the devs are well aware, and I think the support team just are ordered to act as if this is a great thing. Why has no one at Discord objected and said "this is not functional". Sure, you must have objected internally to this, but other factors forced this frustrating version to replace the old excellent version. It breaks my sense of Discord caring about its users. Switch code base if you feel it's good, but then ensure the new version is just as good. I mean, just take a look at the difference between the old and new version.
I didn't understand how Discord, previously so well developed, suddenly felt like a product born from a one-man amateur project. Now I understand the reason is you switched to an unified code base, meaning the desktop and mobile version exists in a single code base. You have a long and hard journey ahead to make this thing as good as the proud and smooth Discord of the past.
The legend has it: once upon a time, there was a chat application that changed the world and merely by its user interface would bring joy and freedom to the world.
I really loved Discord and was looking forward to real updates.

Yes I do, by reverting to the previous version. I also look out for alternatives in case the old version ceases to function at some point in the future.

I'm sure the Android version of Discord is being worked on, many people have already reported issues with it including my self. Also @Big P, drop the toxicity.

This update is great. First saw that many idiots in feedback.

I hate that there is no more ability to scroll infinitely. I save a lot of information for myself in a private server, and I can't access that nearly as easily. Additionally, I can't see what I've missed in the group chat until I get home from work, which is hugely inconvenient and even a hindrance for some of my servers.

This new version is the worst. Also it's hideous and badly scaled.

I have no idea how that unoptimized React Native garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!The performance of the app went from good to unusable, it's not acceptable.
Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped; this app is now TRASH.I used this tutorial on how to revert back to the old native android style app, and I'm sticking to it!
