viewing older threads

i enjoy using discord's threads for event planning and coordination. sometimes i'll attach a photo from that day, and it will be nice to look back on the memories, especially in such an organized manner~ so i hope that my feelings come across when i'm no longer able to scroll through the archived threads at the top. i see the thread search function, but i don' think it works??? also i generally don't ever know the exact title that i'm searching for either. i also use threads for lists and future ideas to build on, so sometimes they will be inactive for a while till the whole thread archives itself. the thought of being unable to recover/ find the thread is very troubling.. i  was worried that the archived threads were been completely erased, but after scrolling for a while and clicking on one of the message windows for the creation of a public thread, i know that is not the case. this doesn't seem to be a trending issue for others from what i've searched so far, but it really is something i care and hope will be regressed or altered. thank you for your time.
