🔍 Missing old Search functions

MISSING OLD SEARCH FUNCTIONS

I tried to use from: @stevekyx in: #general, t doesn't work as global 🔍 search anymore,

all we could do is choose drom the filter. Which is very unhelpful, especially for a Mod that looks after 10k annoying kids.

hope Discord team can being back the old 🔍 search functions

  Not to mention the removal of pages from the search tab!

  The in: prefix is actually still available, except the context in which it's available has now changed with the latest mobile UI update.  (This is a regression/bad choice on Discord's part, BTW.  There's no reason you shouldn't be able to use the in: prefix to search for a channel regardless of where you are contextually in the UI.  I'm pretty sure Discord UI people have little-to-no UX experience, and this is evidence of it.)

  Anyway, rant over.  Here's where you can find it:

  • Open a server you're on
  • Expand the server info / channel list
  • There is a new “Search” field above “Channels & Roles”. In that context, in: is available.
