emoji menu is unusable now

Why does the emoji menu suddenly work like the gif menu? I already hated that because scrolling covered up the entire screen. I usually use multiple emojis at once. My chats move fast. And now to select more than one emoji I have to scroll *all the way* back down? I can't even tell if this is supposed to be a bug or a feature.

Fix it,. Change it back.

    absolutely agree. i submitted a help request thinking it was some sort of glitch and spent a week and a half emailing back and forth with a bot only for a real person to connect with me and tell me it was working just fine, just a new and terrible update. i can't select multiple emojis that aren't in the first three rows of my tab. it's unintuitive and clunky.
