Windows update system not compatible with computer security basics
Hello,
Discord required an update today, and thus I had to open my firewall interface(here it is Windows Firewall Control from Binisoft), in order to allow "C:\users\laurent\appdata\local\discord\app-1.0.9043\discord.exe" by creating a new rule.
However, since these rules are "path based" as I think they are in many firewalls, the process of creating a new rule will be required again at the next update, since Discord will use a diffent path each time.
Indeed last time I had to create a rule for "C:\users\laurent\appdata\local\discord\app-1.0.9042\discord.exe", and before for "C:\users\laurent\appdata\local\discord\app-1.0.9033\discord.exe", etc.
So could you please, you the great Discord Developers, just stop using a different path each time, and use the same for each update, which would allow us, simple users, to create one single rule for all future updates?
I believe this is not a big thing for you, but it can make all the difference at the user level.
Using its present update system, I consider Discord not really compatible with the use of a firewall, and thus with computer security basics.
Thank you for considering this.

Hi there!
3 months later, still no feedback on this, and updates are still problematic if we have computer security concerns.
Should we consider Discord as a security problem like Adobe Flash was in the past?
