Invalid Phone Number

I am unable to log in and verify my account since it ask for my phone number. When i did give my phone number it says that my phone number is invalid. My phone number works fine (can call, send and receive SMS) and recently i added my phone number on twitter and it works just fine. Why is my phone  number invalid for discord and is there another way to verify without a phone number.

   There isn’t, discord mods are too f**king stupid to actually disable the verification requirement.

  I submitted a ticket regarding the issue and its been 10 days not a word from Discord. Is Discord support this bad?
