Player embed for .mkv files

When I send an mkv file on Discord, it just shows a download embed instead of a video player.

Is it possible to play this format directly in Discord?

  • Set-L

    Make sure the MKV
    Has the video encoded in VP8 or VP9
    Has the audio in AAC, MP3 or Vorbis

    Rename the file from file.mkv to file.webm

    Bold is recommended codecs. I also recommend Handbrake for converting the video
