Trouble with Scrolling?

Alright so I don't know why this is happening, but over time it's seemed that my options/ability to scroll through chats or really anything else has been getting more and more limited over time.

When I first started using Discord about, maybe a year ago? My default method of scrolling was to use the arrow keys on my keyboard, and it worked fine. A few months ago, that option abruptly ceased to work, though it still does in any other application and on the internet. I adapted because it seemed like just a little thing, not enough to be upset over, and have since used either the scrolling function of my laptop's touch pad, or the "Pg Up" and "Pg Dn" keys on the keyboard, and occasionally the "Home" and "End" keys if I didn't want to read through everything and just skip to the top or bottom.

However today, when I logged on, I found that the scroll function in my touch pad, and the "Home" and "End" keys all no longer worked within Discord, though they continue to function just fine elsewhere. While I could continue to use the "Pg Up" and "Pg Dn" keys, they don't work within the settings, requiring me to click and drag the bars manually which is tedious and annoying.

I don't understand why the ability to scroll is being limited in this way. Btw, scrolling with my touchpad still functions in the browser version, but not in my desktop app, which is what I prefer to use.
