Allow Discord to Be More Narrow

Discord is terrible to use beside other apps if you lack ultra-wide or multi-monitor setups. The application will not allow itself to be horizontally compressed even to half the width of the screen, which is not changed by closing the member list or using compact mode.

These two suggestions are similar, but this post is focused on allowing the window as a whole to be more narrow, not primarily on collapsing the channels list.

This is the narrowest that the Discord window can be.

    I agree. Discord being a webapp (The desktop application is Electron after all) in 2019 it is seriously behind the times by not having a responsive UI.

     

    Another huge example where this is a pain is the fact that on unsupported platforms, such as ARM SBCs, old 32-bit netbooks running Debian, or even Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 7, I'm having to utilize the web version of Discord. The web version not having a responsive UI really hinders the experience on those platforms.
