Grace Period for Channel Deletion

I just nearly accidentally deleted a channel that has been in use for over 4 years due to my mouse acting up, and the realization this is something that could just happen terrifies me.  Would it be possible to add a grace period to deletion, where it can be reinstated before X days have passed?
