Archive of old DM conversations

What if Discord added a feature which was essentially a history log of every single person you've ever talked with on the service in chronological order, starting from the earliest to latest; while also providing hard links to the DMs which have been sent out - even if these people may no longer be your friends or have even blocked you? It would be a good way to solve the issue of, say, accidentally removing a DM that you didn't intend to and never being able to find it again. What do you all think?

    I have recently come into a situation where this feature would have been very helpful and appreciated. A dear friend of mine passed away and I would love to have been able to save all our conversations for my own peace of mind. (Especially since people eventually slip off the list we can look at). 

    I can also see beneficial use in other ways. Such as, if someone was harassing you or threatening and you needed to document it for legal purposes. 

    Please consider adding this ability to Discord. I am sure many people would be appreciative.
