Make release notes optional

Could you please make notifying about release notes optional?

You obviously spend some time preparing them and try to make them interesting and humorous, but I really don't want to see the same release notes on my home PC, work laptop, iPhone and iPad.

In fact I don't care about the release notes pretty much at all.

  I would probably disable updates if I knew how, just to get rid of the release notes. Based on this suggestion, it is not possible.

  Also the suggestion is unrealistic, because sooner or later an unupdated client will get out of sync with the server APIs and will stop functioning.
