Game Activity Feature Should Be Vanilla - Non-Editable

Lets be completely forward and honest guys.  The Game Activity Feature is an incredible feature.  When it went live it differentiated Discord from all the competition.  It added to the substance of online gaming.  Being able to see what games others are playing is an amazing addition.  It helps Administrators to manage their servers and to provide features for their communities and it gives other gamers the ability to see what others are playing so that they may get involved in that game as well.  It also give people the knowledge that someone is currently in that game and may be in the thick of it.

Discord is a tool.  It is designed to be inclusive, not reclusive.

Soon after this feature was added, the ability to disable it and show nothing was added which defeated the entire purpose of this feature.  Instead of acknowledging that this was a discord perm feature by design, the ability to turn it off was granted which was IMO a ridiculous addition. Should people want to be reclusive and hide what they are currently playing, they need only do the simple thing and shut discord off because that is why people use discord.  To join in with others, game together and for the cohesiveness of a gaming community as it was and as it should be.

Recently, to add insult to injury of this feature, the trampling continued on and a new feature was added to this one to give users the ability to not just turn it off but to also place a permanent custom message giving discord a Facebook feature. So now, instead of users seeing what others are playing, they either see nothing at all or some weird message that person decided to display.

In my opinion both of these additions were completely idiotic and defeats the purpose of the main feature.  Lets not forget that Discord isn't exclusively used by gamers.  It is also used widely by businesses as well, for online meetings.

This feature when it first came online was a great idea and a welcome one by all in the discord community.  I am left to wonder though, why the need to give the ability to turn it off and why did you guys go even further to give people the ability to add a custom message.  In others words, what are you doing to discord?
