Crashing when streaming games
Sometimes when I stream a game, it'll be fine for a few minutes but then it'll crash discord, sometimes it doesn't happen for hours or sometimes it happens immediately. Is there anything that could be causing this?

If you stream at 1080p you should be golden. If you stream at source 4k then you might have video issues like the more low res look that starts to cause jaggies to become more blocky. I have Discord staff looking into it with some examples. I'm looking forward to helping make their service better. :) It just sucks the process of troubleshooting can take time. :(

@hellboyryan Try the Discord Canary link I posted a bit ago and see if that helps. You may need to restart the discord canary client once you get it running to force updates. :)

Guys, as i see now, normal Discord client don't have this issue anymore too. I think there was some fixes in the last update.
The only weirdness, at least about League of Legends - stream stops after a minute in the game lobby. In the match it's working good. It seems that the lobby-client does not send any signal to Discord and it goes into sleep mode :)

Fix works for me! Thanks man! Glad that Discord at least has figured out the problem Hopefully there will be an official update with a patch on the live version soon.0 -

Discord Canary still doesn't seem to fix discord crashing. Not sure what to do at this point.

@bruhbruh at this point I would recommend you get on the support line with Discord and explain what is happening. I'm sorry the update didn't fix your issue. :( It seems Canary has resolved some individuals and possibly, Discord updated it's client that fixed some individuals as well. Maybe try Discord App itself and see if that resolves the issue for you now that it's been updated again.

Discord Canary didn't fix the crashing for me as well however after I went to user settings then in Voice & Video, I disabled OpenH264 Video Codec and it finally fixed it. :D

Kingpotato: there was an update today for Canary. I think I saw 13 updates in this patch. I believe I disabled that codec as well. Glad Discord is working. Also, my bro who had the same issues, hasn't had them using the normal Discord client after their last update rollout before todays.

Disable NVidia Graphics will helps to solve this problem. I don't know why but when i disable nvidia driver software it doesn't crashes

Disabling antivirus seems to have fixed it for me, so maybe give that a go OwO

For me this only seemed to effect games running the Unity engine (Phasmophobia and Fall Guys) with RivaTunaStatisticsServer running in stealth mode.
I just added new application profiles for those specific games with stealth mode off. Works fine now.

Hello, I have messaged Discord on twitter many times and emailed about like 3 times....but am not getting any response from past 3 days , 4th day is ending and my account will be permanently deleted after 10 days, I have not done anything .... My discord was hacked because i clicked a link which was given by a stranger in my dm. Then i wasn't able to control over my account.Suddenly , after many times i logged in my account and it says "Your account has been disabled"...Its absolutely not my fault, I will not click any link or will do something..Please i need my account back it was my main 4yrs old account .
