There's no reason to remove the activity feed
If you want to clean up the clutter, have a "sort" or "hide" option available for people that don't want to see it. As it is now, Discord is so barren and boring because there's nothing going on. You removed a feature that may not have been used by everyone, but was still used by many people. For those that did use it, it was a big part of why they even used discord in the first place. Please, just bring it back. Just because you don't believe people are using it doesn't mean it should be removed entirely.

Agreed. It allowed me to keep me update with all my games update :) Discord was my first source of informations for this kind of news.

I can understand where you're coming from, but most games that have updates, will tell you when you launch the game, or before, and the client you launch it from will have the information you need for all of the games on that client i.e. patch notes, updates etc, so for that, It seems pretty redundant. The only other thing you could make use of on it, was seeing what people had been playing, and what they are playing now, but again, you can do that through your game client, or just look at your friends list on discord. honestly, it makes sense to bin it, discord isn't made to be full of all these pointless features, at the end of the day, its used to talk, and send messages. no need for additional bells and whistles, just because.
Also, this is my opinion, i know you probably wont share it and will just try and shit talk me which is fine, this is the internet and god forbid anyone have a differing opinion, but i'm just sharing my side of how i see the changes from discords perspective, and the majority of users.

I don't really agree. Sure, games will tell you when they are updated but, only if you launch them, or if you take the time to check what the download of steam are for (for exemple). When you start to have a big list of game, it's hard to follow what happen in your library. Game feeds also had news which where not only update but also related news (user survey for pathfinder, youtube video from mojang etc).
For sure, Discord is a communication tool, but it's a gamer communication tool. If I want only text and files software, I will go for messanger...0 -
You're missing the point MechaCrysis, its not limited to game content updates (as in downloadable update), but more about what the developers are doing in general with the game, this can include limited time events, such as GTAV for example, every week they rotate what sort of events are going on online, what items are on discount, which missions are giving double exp, if they are giving out currency rewards for simply logging in, etc. these are things you normally wouldn't be aware of unless you were subscribed to some sort of news settler like e-mails or something. So discord already had this feature which is very convenient since the app itself is centered around gaming and not just social communication, this isn't blackberry messenger.
