New UI is really terrible

Especially the highlighting when hovering posts. But the Emoji menu is also very annoying, takes a whole lot of space for something near to irrelevant. At least give us an option to disable it, please.

Changes are not necessarily bad, but forced changes that are so radical and questionable like this, no no. Kinda annoyed of all these softs that want to force UI changes even for Desktop when it's not needed and especially when it's not a priority. Discord is far from bug-free, you should maybe work on that first.

Or just do your things but, give an option to turn it off for people that don't want it. I get that it means more work since updates have to be done for both things, but that's really not a good mentality to just force it like that in my humble opinion. Steam did it, and it's awful to use now, and they're so stubborn that they don't do anything about it. Don't be like that, please.

I agree, need options or just revert. I don't like the lack of seperation between messages, the highlighting of messages when hovering, and the space taken up by the emoji reactions. The fact that they can change something so massively and instantly with no option to undo or disable anything you don't like is concerning, hopefully they will listen though, the idea of it never being the same gives me anxiety.
