New UI distracting and makes conversations harder to follow!

Replacing lines between messages with this horrible highlight thing has made it significantly harder to differentiate messages, especially in group DMs with people with names of a similar length, *and* when I move my mouse over the window it flashes wildly at me. I don't want windows to animate when I move my mouse over them! I want them to stay put until I choose to interact with them!

I very rarely use emoji reactions, and I neither need nor want them flashing up at me constantly like a bloody semaphore begging me to interact. If that change isn't reverted or made a toggle I'll just disable viewing emoji reactions entirely, because someone said that would remove it, and it'd be preferable to this.

And I have no idea why the new messages line looks different now, but it's obtrusive in a bad way.

Is all this garbage more usable on the mode with icons? Do none of the devs use compact mode?

For the love of god, at least let me toggle the bloody highlights off, they make using the client absolutely miserable.

While I don't mind the line break in red now that shows where "NEW" messages started, the Reaction emoji suggestion that flashes over every entry is killing me. It blocks half the message every time and much like Keres, I don't use reaction emoji often enough to need a top three or so popping up every line in a conversation. Please, toggle boxes in the options for new features just to test the waters and see how many people use them or toggle them off. Might save you time and headaches? Not sure? But thank you for hearing us out.
