Mark a thread as a spoiler

In order to prevent messages from being shown in the thread preview of a channel, it would be useful to be able to mark a thread as containing spoilers (eg a thread discussing a recent episode of a TV show), so that users don't need to individually tag each message in a thread where all members who join expect spoilers.

    I agree, this would be very useful! On our server we often have reply chains where every message is spoiler-tagged. If you want to read it, you have to manually click on every spoilered message. Replacing it with a single spoilered thread you can just join and read would be a huge improvement!

    Moving spoiler conversations to threads was my number 1 use case and without this I don't think it's going to work :(  Would definitely love to see this feature get added

    Just wanted to point out that there's another problem with using threads for spoiler discussion: Messages inside threads appear in the search results, even if you haven't joined the thread yourself.

    So that would be an additional part of this feature. If a message is from a spoiler-tagged thread, it should show up as spoiler-tagged in the search results.

    yes please. I have a discord for members of a guild in an MMORPG and we have members at various points of the story. sometimes they like to have discussions about plot points as they occur without having to make an entire channel for it

    This would make threads way more useful. I'd like to see a checkbox during thread creation for it

    For all the existing reasons and hopefully more to come I agree this needs to be a feature. I'm kinda surprised it's not already.

    Ooh, please! This would be super useful for ongoing series discussions, seconding the "display spoiler-tagged thread posts as spoilered in search results" suggestion as well!! That would be an amazing quality of life upgrade to Threads!

    Anyone from Discord looking at this feedback? Please do this, I can't believe this hasn't been implemented yet. Typing || at the beginning of every message in a thread is a horrible user experience.

    Post previews need to have the option to be spoiler tagged in if someone is not a member of the discussion.  The only reason I use the forum feature is so that you can avoid spoiler-heavy conversations when you aren't caught up on something yet.  But the most recent message is displayed for anyone to see.  Fix this feature, please!
