Get rid of mandatory phone number verification.
What the title says. Get rid of the dumb mandatory phone verification. The stupid popup where it claims theres "suspicious activity going on" is completely useless. Some people don't even have phone numbers.
I have two accounts, I'm posting this via my alt right now. I have an alt to test out moderation in servers etc, not everyone has friends willing to be guinea pigs you know.
Now I'm locked out of my alt due to the mandatory phone verification. I'm currently waiting 24 hours to get back into my main account because I removed the number from it by trying to verify my alt, which I soon learned you can only have one # per account.
The only thing the mandatory phone verification is doing is causing people to leave Discord, or straight up being unable to use it, because again there are genuinely some people who do not have phone numbers.
Change it to classic email verification or something. Seriously Discord, this is an issue I've seen posts on from TWO YEARS AGO. Take a hint.

The same happened to me a couple of hours ago, sent a ticket and also @ ed them on twitter. My guess is that they don't care at all though...

same problem also. My acc suddenly got blocked because of requiring phone num verification but failed. Please fix the problem as soon as possible.

My restriction got lifted a couple of hours after submitting the ticket, and they sent me an email telling me that, if you're still having the same issue, try submitting a ticket and thell them what's going on if you haven't.

Support told me my only hope was post about this 'no phone, no service' SNAFU on feedback and hope for feedback. I got 20 upvotes on a post three months ago. Still no change.
