I wanna chat with my friends but discord wont allow me to without a phone number.
I dont have a phone number and I need a phone number in order to get pass this pop-up, I really wanna chat with my friends and save my progress in bots but I cant because I have no phone number.
What should I do now?
If I create an alt I will lose progress in bots and servers.

I got the same problem, and it is totally against the law to force people to get their personal mobile numbers. It is also not right as people without a phone should be allowed on discord too. We verified our e-mails that should suffice! It is very rude and absolutely horrific that these online services keep nagging for phone numbers all the time. They verify shit and won't stop annoying spammers and scammers, they sadly will always be a step ahead and do what they do anyway. All one can do about those is ignore and block them. It is totally not fair to block us regular people who are just here to talk to friends because we don't have a phone or not wish to provide it to some shady online business.

The admins of discord won't delete that thing and they tell us that we MUST use a phone number to bypass that while we don't have one.

Well they, like Twitter will not be around for long then as it is illegal and they cannot force people to give out phone numbers and data for them to sell for profit. F... this place then! Many other choices to go to

I dont just need to use discord to chat, there are a bunch of other places to chat. I chose discord because I though the people there were nice and helpful. But some are the opposite.
