Turn URLs to normal text for Banned Twitch Chatters
Hi. I was told via email to bring my idea to the feedback feature of Discord w/ my idea/suggestion on how Discord need to be better. So I'm just gonna go with this
Unfortunately. Discord got a option where you can connect your twitch account to. Right?
But what's ALSO unfortunate is how a specific user got a permanently banned from a certain streamer's chatroom. But another unfortunate thing is that their URL is still accessible for the person that the certain discord user w/ their twitch account connected that was permanently banned. So here's the idea. All Discord Users MIGHT love this. Emphasis on the keyword "might". But what if we can turn the accessible URLs that the twitch banned chatters can click on. Into a normal text for them?
Some of you guys might not understand where I'm coming up with this idea. But if you look at the example below. You might get a picture. I'm gonna use my twitch streaming account for this example as well.
So let's say that I'm going live and want to let everyone know that I'm live. I post my stuff, what I'm doing, then say "LIVE @ https://twitch.tv/ryan_bartley21" then someone who was previously banned from the channel tunes in but they can't chat. So, I'd like to keep the banned chatters from accessing that URL by turning it into a Normal Text. Now this is where the IDEA/SUGGESTION comes into play. So here's how they can turn URLs into a Normal Text for the chatters that's recently/previously/unexpectedly banned from the chatrooms. The link "https://twitch.tv/ryan_bartley21" for banned chatters would be turned into a Normal Text. So. I'm gonna use the same link for that link again but this time. More normalized text. twitch.tv/ryan_bartley21
See right there? There ain't no clickable line under the URL. That means it's been turned into a normal text
If the person that's already been banned from the twitch streamer's chatrooms happen to still click on the accessible URL under a different discord account but with the same twitch account connected to their alternative discord account. They get hit with a card that says "Sorry, you can't click on this link. Your twitch ID was permanently banned from the streamer's channel!" And have a reason for why the user was banned from the channel. In example "Threatening the Streamer"
That's what the alternative accounts w/ the same twitch login would get hit with if they click on the accessible URL.
What do you guys think of the idea???
Also, I had to edit this four times cuz the HTTPS:// thing was forcing it as a link for the Normalized Text portion
