Threads Announcement Post Won't Go Away

Every time I log onto Discord on my phone the full screen announcement regarding threads pops up. Even if I dismiss it it comes back the next time I log on. It's an intrusive ad at this point, it literally interrupts what I'm doing and takes over the entire screen. I've tried uninstalling, clearing the cache etc but nothing will stop the announcement from returning. I've raised this with support, but the response was 'oh, that's weird, I dunno lol'. Any ideas how I can get rid of it? It's hugely annoying!
