Posting Messages And Quickly Deleting
I've been running a channel for quite some time now. Recently, I noticed a popular trend of people in the chat posting something that violates the channel rules and then quickly deleting it.
They're doing this in an attempt to violate the channel rules without getting caught. This is a major problem. There needs to be a setting where members can't delete their own messages. Or where the channel owner can still see messages that people have deleted. This also includes edited messages. It's essentially the same thing. Posting a message that violates the rules and then immediately editing it in order to get around the rules.
This problem needs to be addressed and a solution found.

I agree with this. But a setting where users cant delete their own messages is a little much... I'm very surprised there isn't an option to view old channel message history already. Definitely should already be a thing

Great suggestion. I completely understand what you mean as I'm a server owner myself. However, there is a solution for this. Most all-around bots on Discord, such as Dyno, can log messages, written in any channel. For me, this has been very helpful to catch rule-breaking members and prevent it from happening again.
While I do believe Discord could improve their own Audit Log system, what I mentioned above is a quick effective solution at the moment.

@StinTynn Thank you for the suggestion on the Dyno bot. I'll def look into that. Discord absolutely needs to build in a solution. I've witnessed some extremely disturbing videos being posted in other channels, but when I notified the channel owner, they deleted them. She didn't believe me that these guys were not good guys. And she's underage to boot, which makes it a dangerous situation. I had no choice but to leave the channel, because I couldn't risk being associated with what was being posted. And then deleted.
