Web3 Integration w/ Discord
I remember a bit ago Discord did a survey about NFT integration and stuff.
Ever since, I haven't been able to sleep at night because I've dreamt about people being able to link their Ethereum, Solana and Cardano wallets to Discord and then having the option to display your NFTs on your discord profile or something.
Discord I know you're interested: make the world a better place and become pro-NFT. Please.

It won't make the world any better, we only have this planet to live on and NFTs are ruining the environment of our planet. Literally, one token produces as much as household electricity in 1 day. We already have problems with pollution and such, is no need to make it even harder than this.
Besides, it's scamming field for every art thieves', making money off artists' works without any permission/consent whatsoever, which artists' are suffering from. They also have a family to feed, you absolute monkeys.
Not only that but people can also be scammed out of their money by paying thousands upon thousands for a single picture of some animal that can be easily saved by right click "save as" without any pay. Do you really want to pay ridiculous amounts of money to just have your name on some random ass picture that you can't even have a physical copy of it? No, just no.
And as much as you can argue with me, artists are always the main owners of their works, as they're themselves created the piece in the first place. Even if you have it "printed" your "name" on it, owning it all might, that won't matter than WHO made the piece of work you youself "own".

If Discord actually decides to go through with this nonsense (and it's bad enough they're even considering it!), I will abandon it in a heartbeat and go look for an alternative. I have never had a Nitro subscription or given money to Discord in any capacity, and now I'm very glad I haven't!

NFTs offer nothing but artificial scarcity for the pretentious/naive and are exchanged with crypto, which is responsible for massive excessive and unnecessary carbon emissions and serves no purpose as an additional currency that isn't dubious in nature. Nasty.
I've already cancelled my nitro over Citron's tweet. I want Discord to see the repressions before it gets implemented. Hope it'll make them think twice.
Edit: Actually, love what some people are suggesting about jumping ship entirely!

NFTs are so dumb. To make a single one requires so much energy, and its super harmful for the environment. They are also a huge buyer of computer parts, to the point that NOBODY CAN FIND ANY GRAPHICS CARDS, and not to meantion that it's super easy to just STEAL art and make it into an nfts! Congrats, discord, you're promoting art theft if you add nft support. Shame on you.

CEO Jason's statement on Twitter was weak and noncommittal. You're still planning on incorporating Web3 awfulness. We need a clear, decisive statement that Crypto/NFT/Blockchain technology will never be used on Discord, immediately.

Absolutely not. I only use Nitro to boost one of my community servers, but if NFTs become a thing that Discord supports I will gladly cancel my Nitro.

Canceled a two year nitro streak over this. Cannot believe people want to support the vile technology that is bogus scams at best and money laundering at worst, never mind how it actively destroys the planet. I've been on this app for years, purchased nitro gift for friends repeatedly, and will not hesitate to jump ship if it means not siding with NTFs.
To the devs, you can do so much better than this.
