Indicator for when you aren't able to DM someone

Simply have something similar as when you can't send messages in a server's channel except for DMs, would it be when you're blocked or just unable to send messages to a person for whatever reasons. Currently it's always a bit unclear and/or frustrating to write a message to someone and find out they blocked you.
