NO warning when using same phone number on different accounts?
Hi, Discord and fans alike.
I recently encountered a strange scenario in which I was locked out of my main Discord account after attempting to use the same mobile number from one account on a secondary account. Because of this, my Discord profile is locked without any indication of how long the timeout would take.
As much as I appreciate the vast layers of security that Discord considers on its platform, I do not believe that first-time encounterers should have to face the consequence of having their account locked for an unknown period.
There are numerous reasons this time out can become a dangerous obstacle for specific users on your platform who are unaware of the consequences of setting up the same phone on a secondary account.
For example, many users who maintain a business or company utilise Discord as a communication tool to support their customers. This security measure may accidentally lockout that user, which could have a detrimental impact on the welfare of their company.
Another notable example of this security measure becoming a problem is when an administrator of a large server becomes unable to access their community and ensure the safety of their fellow community members.
I'm sure that I'm not the only person that has had the displeasure of encountering this. These hidden landmines are such a pain for those who use your services with professional intent, and I believe this security measurement should be more relaxed.
Thank you!
Kindest regards.

I'm having the same problem right now, where I made an alt and put my number into it. It locks me out of any servers that require a verified number to prevent spam. I heard that you can fix it by just using someone else's number at the very least, but I shouldn't need to do that just to access parts of my account. It's also important to mention that I can't find a way to unlink my number from whichever alt I connected it to. I even deleted all of my alts and I still get the message of the number already being on another account.
There seriously needs to be an option to verify your number with your email and have the ability to unlink your number from discord entirely to free up the space

I'm not supposed to tell you this but just go on Twilo Trial, buy a number using trial and click a UK number, toggle the mobile number, (to make sure it's not a VOIP), then go on Discord press the UK number, and type in the UK number you got from Twilo, then proceed to send the SMS to that and go to the SMS tab on twilo.
