Why doesn't discord have a feature to see if your message was read?

Like in most of the text chats in other apps. I think it would be nice. And additionally ability to turn if off so you won't see if your message was read and other people won't see if their message was read.

  It would be bad for some people and for some reason. There can be sometimes you don't want to answer their message so, but it would be fine if you can disable others see that you have disabled your "seen" function.
