Option to Disable DMs between non-friend members of the same server

I've been an admin of a discord server since it started over 18 months ago.

We now have over 20K members but we get inundated with spammers and scammers who join and DM our members, some pretending to be from official support.

We have the highest verification level required to join but still this persists.

I would like the option to stop all members (@everyone) sending DMs to non-friends even if they're members of the same server, but still be able to DM the admins and possibly other selected roles.


We're losing a lot of goodwill from our members due to the spam so would appreciate it if you could please implement this setting.

    I was literally about to suggest this, it's a really great idea and I hope it's gonna be added to discord.
