Q: I'm starting to see developers talk about Slash Commands. What are these?

A: Slash Commands will allow a user to simply type a forward-slash ("/") in order to pull up a full list of commands that a bot can be called to perform without having to actually send a message.

Q: How do I use them?

A: Just type / in the chat bar to explore all the Slash Commands you can use in a server!

Q: Why do only some bots have them?

A: We're openly testing them right now, so not every developer has integrated them into their bot yet.

Q: Why did you build slash commands?

A: We want to make bots even easier to develop and use for everyone on Discord. Right now, using bots involves sending messages with specific keywords, which often leads to getting commands wrong. Also, not everyone is aware of everything a bot can do, or how to use them. Slash Commands allow you to easily see and use the commands a bot can perform in your server. They also give developers powerful new tools to make even more amazing Discord bots. We hope you like them!
