Option for Viewing if Someone Saw Your DM or Not

In direct messages, there should be an option to view if the one you are messaging has seen your message(s) or not. This would be completely optional since it would bug some people to have someone see if their messages were viewed or not, so there would be a section in the Text & Images panel at the settings to allow message read viewing from others. This would be helpful if you think a friend is ignoring you because it would help me since my friend hasn't responded to me in ages and I'm not sure if they're seeing my messages. Since this is something someone could be annoyed about there should be a pop-up when someone opens discord to have the option right then and there since most people wouldn't know about it unless they actually read about the updates or regularly checks their settings.

    also idk if i mentioned it but the option is so people can view if YOU read their message so it wouldnt appear as "read" to the person on the other end. there would also be an option to show if someone read your messages in case i didnt mention that either idk

    also another thing i didnt mention would be in group chats, if the person has the setting enabled it would show people who saw it like "___ read" and so on

    It would be actually helpful in the situations you mentioned. There is someone who I regularly talk to and I'd like it if most of our plans weren't delayed because they forgot to respond or just decided not to. It'll make my day a lot quicker instead of having to wait on them.
