Voice message button

I want the option to remove or disable voice messages in DMs or at least to hide/remove the button. I keep accidentally hitting it and it’s getting very annoying.

    I second this. I hate having it right next to the emoji. I don't want it there. I want it moved or a toggle to hide it. I keep pressing it.

    i agree too, i would prefer an hide option as some who do wanna use it can then and those who do not wont have to be stuck with that button as it is very annoying!

    I completely agree to this. Either have it be in account settings so some people don't have to deal with it or move it so it desn't have to be next to to emote button. Some people do not want to accidentally send a voice memo to someone they don't know. And as I've had people already accidentally call me on vc via but dial this can happen. And probably even more frequently since it's closer to the middle of the screen.

    I see this as an accessibility issue. Alot of people on discord struggle with social anxiety and having the voice messege unable to turn off makes the mobile app innacessable to us. Also to autistics who get highly overestimated. Not only that but as a manager of multiple servers the amount of times people troll and send slurs suck as the nword not only in servrrs but also in dms it is harder to moderate anything voice related. We do not have the technology yet to set auto mod and explicit content filters to mannage voice messeges. I for one do not support voice messeges at all and think discord was better without them.

    The placement of the button being FORCED is purely idiotic. I will NEVER EVER use this feature - why am I forced to have that stupid button on there, nagging for mic permissions every time I accidentally click on it??

    What is worse is that let's say I disable voice messages on my server, every role is disabled...EXCEPT THE OWNER - ME! So not only did I waste time turning off this dumb feature which I never asked for (and I am a Nitro sub with an "Early Supporter" badge, btw!) - turning it off only did it for everyone else, not me!!!

    What were the devs thinking here? How did this go through QA? It's just so basic that it boggles my mind that someone thought "yeah, everyone will love this" and just forced it...ridiculous...

    The feature should be a user toggle!
