We block people on Discord for a reason
I have been blocked on Discord by various people, but I seldom use the feature myself. That said, it has become somewhat necessary to block some users. Thing is, when I do, and they've sent messages on a server I'm in, I see "[n] blocked message[s] - view message". Why, then, does the blocking feature exist, if I'm still able to view the messages of people I've blocked without having to unblock them? How does that make sense? I don't like it. I really like Discord and this is one of the few things I don't like about it, and a major reason I don't tend to block people often. But sometimes I want to block people! So just block their messages! We block people for reasons! We don't want to see their messages! Why give us that option? We don't want it!

Additionally, it's counterproductive to allow people that are blocked to see messages from those who block them. What's even the point?

So if someone sends a reply to a message from someone you've blocked, you still see the blocked person's Discord name but instead of their message you see "Blocked message." If you click on where it says that, you see the above which also contains their name. So Discord is encouraging you to unblock someone, that you've blocked for a reason. Why? Why would I want to unblock this person? I just want to jump to what everyone ELSE was talking about! Seriously Discord, you won't let us "fully" block people, you won't explicitly tell us when other people have blocked us, and now you're telling us to unblock people we've blocked. Please stop.2
