Buying discord nitro with Google Play Gift Cards

Hi everyone, I recently bought 100 bucks in Google play cards intending to buy a year of discord nitro. I saw a few other posts about it and apparently it worked. However when I added the cards to my account and clicked purchase nitro, the transaction was declined. What should I do? I've seen other posts and apparently it worked for other people.
